Welcome to the summergarden of EAH!-den

Mon, 05/14/2012 - 11:04PM by studioeah 0 Comments - 65 Views

EAH! black label are all one of a kind pieces. The new items of 2012 are part of a growing collection through the seasons. Inspired by the DIY wave on social media, but mainly inspired by green thoughts.

These EAH! DIY pieces are made of left over materials of previous collections and found stuff. Why not using all nice left over stuff before buying new materials. The base of the bags are made of woven straw decorated with semi-precious Italian glass stones, fake flowers and also attached are recycled objects like beads and bottle caps. The inside is colored with zipped cover and small pocket inside. These bags have two sizes. The medium sized bags instantly evokes the spirit of summer. They have a day-to-night style with a distinctly bohemian chique appeal - carry it to sun-soaked events. The spacious tote is a day piece and could become your go-to from a city picnic to the coast of South of France ;o)

A very happy collection to celebrate life and express yourself. Enjoy your summer!

You can check out all the new bags online at www.eahshop.com

Ow yes EAH! also made a fun movie with these bags and superfunctional sunglasses ;o)

Spring is here !

Thu, 03/22/2012 - 1:18PM by studioeah 0 Comments - 32 Views

CiBi always gladly makes first some somersaults over the grass and than rushes cheerfully further on. Let's throw a stick? Wuff wuff! My dear doggy CiBi (Creamy Blue) and I come almost every day in the park. We are especially fond of the morning, we find it wonderful.

Nice and quiet and only people who have a walk with their dog and some cyclists. A cosy chat with another dog owner about whatever, nothing special (usually about dogs things). Every day that fresh air is delicious as urbanite. I grew up next to this park, so it is like my (very big) backgarden. We walked last days along as we seen all green coming up and saw these spring flowers grow.

That is the beauty of spring. That you step by step can see new fresh flowers coming up. Between the old dry dead leaves is growing again new life. A new beginning. Actually spring for me is the beginning of a new year. Now they are still at their peak, it was the right time to take cute snapshots in the idyllic spring flowers of CiBi. We wish you a happy spring. New life, a new beginning and new chances. Love Life. Every day a new day.

EAH!

Early Spring or New Winter ?

Thu, 02/02/2012 - 9:20PM by studioeah 0 Comments - 32 Views

Green for WonderWood by Studio EAH!

It took some time before the winter weather really started in the Netherlands. We have so far enjoyed Sun and beautiful fresh fall days. Here and there even flower buds came through and little spring crocuses shot out of the ground. Just as it seemed the spring was started and the winter was about as beaten. Is this the new kind of winter? Besides thinking Green is kind of a populair subject... Studio EAH! decided to create some GREEN together with the plywood. We did the styling for the shopwindows. Presented are design chairs of Brattrud, Green leaves of Richard Hutten and some EAH! accessories. ENJOY!

Happy (Next) Fashion Week.

Thu, 02/02/2012 - 10:00AM by studioeah 0 Comments - 76 Views

Amsterdam Fashion Week is already flown over again! The shows at the opening soiree were both very special and really a celebration, filled with positive energy of the designers who have done their superbest. Something which hopefully has inspired people. A very good article about all the negative criticism on AIFW I found > this. < I have actually nothing more to add. Well Yes, perhaps I do. Let us all be proud of each other. Eachothers taste, visions, opinions, might be different, but our difference is also our beauty. Gosh, what a boring life it will be, if we all like the same stuff and style. What should we be happy with a fashion week in the first place, which further developes every year. If some so desperatly want to have the level of the 'French' and 'Italians', then let us especially learn from how proud they mostly are on their national talents. Everyone is doing his or her superbest. Not only the designers, but lots of other people involved, from the organization to the sponsors are working their ass off to make it look perfect. You cannot watch behind the scenes. Or maybe just keep it to yourself? Of course it is good to be critical and also we all have an opinion about things. But personally I find it not correct if  'important' people express negativity about (young) designers, who just work so hard to get there. Anyways, maybe you missed all that.

About keeping it to yourself. I am certainly not the stereotype 'fashionista' and I am really not a fan at all of the gossip circuit, such bad energy. A reason to stay far away from it. I just simply enjoy to observe, search and collect beautiful things. Which can be really everything from art, music, nature fashion, books, people, trends, internet, towards daily life stuff. This inspiration I sometimes like to share with others through social media or my blogs. Mainly researching and creating makes me happy. A fashion product is just a tool to visualize a vision or idea. Positive energy is the fuel for creativity (even negative experiences can transform into beautiful creations). The design proces to eventually the final result I find just delicious, even if the final design is sometimes a piece of shit. Just keep that ball rolling!

Loved the initiative of the Green Fashion competition during AIFW. YES! how much would I love to work with ecological environment and animal friendly materials in the future. Once in 2008 launched a fake fur bags collection to inspire fashionista’s in a positive way to stop wearing real fur. Every step, is a step closer to 5000 miles. Who knows I get the chance ever again making such a statement! Without getting too far into details: Today, I am glad that I am blessed I may think forward again and make future plans. Maybe it should be in the spirit of wishing eachother A Happy New Year,  so I wish you all A Happy (Next) Amsterdam Fashion Week!

Snapshots Miljonair Fair VIP night

Sat, 12/10/2011 - 11:09PM by studioeah 0 Comments - 619 Views

Get the miljonair experience.

"Always the same heads!" (lol) Dutch Fashion Awards 2011.

Sat, 11/05/2011 - 4:13PM by studioeah 0 Comments - 172 Views

Found a nice parking spot in the beautiful old city of The Hague. Very glad I sat just in time on my seat in the crowded Great Church. The Dutch Fashion Awards are handed out tonight and also turns out to be the kick-of of the first fashion week at The Hague. Enjoyed the beautiful lighted ceiling and waited of full exitement, because I can so easily imagine the nerves shriek through the bodies of the nominees: Erik Frenken, Marcha Hüskes, Conny Groenewegen, Joline Jolink and Hyun Yeu. Had not sat five minutes at my seat and had a complaining neighbour beside me. Who works in the fashion industry. "This is only reserved for a certain group of people, all of these are graduates of Arnhem". The Dutch Fashion Foundation introduction film was started and again he said: "Always the same heads!" Then I spent almost the whole show nexto a complaining person. I tried my best to positively explain that we may be delighted with such a platform and designers all work in their own way. Everyone is doing his best, everyone has their own goals. Eventually he concluded that I am too nice and too sweet for the Dutch fashion world. The other seat next to me was empty, because our young photographer, Bryan Leijenhorst, was busy taking photographs tof the catwalk with a huge camera.

Angelique Westerhof is the founder of the Dutch Fashion Foundation in, Fashion Institute Arnhem fashion masters and is the initiator of the Dutch Fashion Awards. And what does she do it almost un-Dutch good! She can articulate her vision so beautifully through the microphone. While she is an appearance (as always)  in a very beautiful bright coral-orange long dress made by another young designer. She moved back and forth and seems to float on the catwalk. She is and remains the queen of the young Dutch fashion designers. The presenter of the evening and many women still can learn from.

A spicy serious international jury observed these new talents. Important fashion people who can help designers really 10 steps ahead in the international fashion world. They have enormous good connectons, background, experience and the tools. Because that is what matters, so these designers can develop internationally at a certain higher level. As described on the Dutch Fashion Foundation Website: the Dutch Fashion Awards offer Dutch talent with international potential a platform and promote innovative design. The nominees are chosen by the Academy of Dutch Fashion Design, a broad group of fashion professionals, and must be nominated by at least three members. The judges were: Armand Hadida, owner of l'Eclarieur and Tranoi high end fashion fair in Paris. Tiziana Cardini, fashion director Rinascente Milan (former fashion director Glamour and many more) Barbara Masteroroundes, Director of worldwide Luxury Group PPR, senior HR manager for London, cat Nadj Luxury Group PPR London, Tiziano Cereda, owner of Biffi and Banner boutiques and showroom SpazioGenova in Milan.

And the winner of the Mercedez-Benz Dutch design Awards is: Connie Groenewegen! A prestigious price of 25.000 euro. Fabiana did the Word: "The jury was instantly and unanimously convinced by the artistic integrity of this designer who provides the fashion industry with much needed oxygen. " And she also won the "International Incubator Award '. Jury Member said, "The only designer who made today's members of the jury eager to buy the product for themselves to wear-right there on the spot and off the rack: this designer truly deserves this International Incubator Award 2011". Menswear designer Hyun Yeu won the DUTCH Incubator Award. "This designer convinced the jury proposing a playful take on a contemporary wardrobe; classic styling with a twist, witty detailing and a nice sense of colour", said juror Tiziana Cardini. His collection will be sold at the Bijenkorf.

Mr. Hadida made clear very well to the public in a moment at the end, why Connie Groenewegen had won. Today the international fashion world needs designers who are unique, have a very distinct style and are above all innovative. Connie, who in addition won two awards, works purely from creativity, research and innovation. A designer who brings fresh ideas to the fashion world, has an enormous sense for innovative use of materials. A designer that makes a difference with her creative product which also can be really worn. You have to struggle today as a fashion designer to make a difference. The international fashion world is not very much waiting for yet another ' basic ' fashion brand. A designer may be an artist and designs can be a form of art. I was in a little bit shock of the negative note of Erik Frenken in his introduction movie. That fashion is not art and art is not something what you wear and and he expressed himself negatively about. That's not a very cleaver thing to say. I think you should let everyone, in any case in its value. If that is not yours, then you don't talk about it. Stick to your own thing. Every designer or artist works passionated on his best, on his way. In my opinion not such an added value if you have already accomplished so much with a wonderful commercial brand as Avelon.

Felt a bitter atmosphere. Why can't everyone just not happy and be proud of each other. A crisis time to work together and help each other. It is ultimately good for all of us that the Netherlands is today so enormously grown on the international fashion stage . At the afterdrink I discovered that some guests have very well understood where its’s all about nowadays. To put down your own unique style. Bumped into fashion icons wearing very special outfits, beautifully put together. Just fashion people with a certain vision, fashion stylists and other designers. Bryan took some great snapshots…

Leopards at Fred de la Bretoniere

Thu, 11/03/2011 - 8:56PM by studioeah 0 Comments - 148 Views

That is perhaps the last thing you expect when you go to an opening of Fred de la Bretoniere. Fred's designs are known for his pure and raw use of leather for mainly shoes and bags.

The previously launched ( during his forty years brand celebration) leather clothing collection in collaboration with Sjaak Hullekes has now got its own beautiful boutique in Amsterdam Old South. Sjaak also developed its own pretty simple signature as a young designer. A very talented young designer. See his work here: http://sjaakhullekes.blogspot.com/ Overall a great match for a collaboration. And even he is the young Dutch fashion design talent who Fred believes in for the future and invested heavily. But still, a lot of women apparently ( when they stood in front of their wardrobe) thought this: "Today I am going go to a store opening of Fred de la Bretoniere, "What should I wear? Yes!! a leopard print." How funny is that! Maybe not such a crazy thought, because Fred also used to create designs with amazing animal skins in the past, like snake or crocodile leather. Is that wild adventurous thing perhaps more what Fred orginally is to me and those women? The young attractive rebellious adventurous leather artist who made every single piece himself, loves celebrating life and travelling to Asia. He enjoyed working with my mother, who was at that time at a very influencial fashion stylist of fashion magazine Avenue. That's how we know eachother. I know Fred, since I was a young kid, as a cheerful happy man who can tell the best jokes and is a real good story teller.  Full of energy, creativity and always has the most beautiful women around him. To me an inspiring man full of colour. Even his daughter is a true beauty.

Then this simple clean cut and unfeminine leather tops and dresses? Does the raw touch, that works perfect for accessories, also has to work for a clean fashion piece cut? Anyways. Who am I to judge about it. Most importantly, he believes in supporting young talent and gives this young designer who he really believes in, the opportunity to have a platform to grow.  Who knows, Sjaak will be his future head of design. I think that many fashion businesses today should take this as an example in these rather difficult times. To give a real platform to one young designer you really believe in. Once, in the very beginning, thanks to him I got the chance to import the finest materials from Italy for my bags collection. Which I am still very grateful to him. He also gave many remeaning leather pieces to me, which I have made of my very first very bags.

(Most bloggers are placing a piece immediately after they have attended an event. Sometimes I prefer to take some time. A few weeks ago I visited this new store opening in Amsterdam Old South. Below more images, x x x)

A girl needs 4 animals in her life...

Thu, 11/03/2011 - 3:48PM by studioeah 0 Comments - 110 Views

Ofcourse most know I am totally against fur, but I actually love this little hilarious poem (below). Also I am not such a big fan of the bloody scary Frankenstein, Zombie, dead devil brides, open wounds, Halloween cheap non-creative party shop outfits. I do like the fact a few zombie walks worldwide honoured Michael Jackson and his famous Thriller hit. To me Halloween parties need a covering theme to make it look all together more creative. Like dead Hollywood stars or any other more chiquer theme. Like a delicious flamboyant sauce. So people really need to be creative and still can look fabulous. Like a "Ball" or "Gala" theme. I decided to be a naughty night cat...(ok that isn't really creative either, but was not even planning to dress up for Halloween in the first place, so put it together in 5 minutes). Maybe I just do not like blood and men who normally are shy or scared to say hello to me, finally feel secure and convinced enough to approach women with their scary halloween looks. Had a fabulous night out with friends at The Ball at Ludwig II hosted by the always fantastic fabulous talented Sunny ! She organised Vampire Ball! And on top of it all a fantastic performance of Camilla Tuhuleruw. Wow loved her look. Omg, Wish I could preform like that! Actually loved the look of every person walking around there that night. Everybody was wearing exciting sexy darker fashion looks. Ludwig II at Rue du Vaseline in Amsterdam has a great ambiance. The back area feels like a club in London... In the mirrored toilets I had a little-mini-shoot-moment with my dear model friend Roosje Schilling. We thought the snapshot with a Blackberry worked out quite well...enjoy!

A girl needs 4 animals in her life.

A MINK in the closet.

A JAQUAR in the garage.

A TIGER in bed.

And an ASS to pay for it all!

EAH! PARTY

My heart is solid
My mind is floating
My head is bouncing
My legs are jumping up and down
My feet are kicking in all directions
My hands are waving
My arms are flapping like EAH! bird
My body is dancing
I am at EAH! arty party

Like The Garden of Eden

your touch like butterfly wings
soft warm was the kiss
alluring persuasion
eyes burnt with your image
as the sunsets over the mountain
your love a familiar bridge
over troubled water
a flower so youthful held sweet nectar
is a gift ancient as time itself
you were the hurried worker bee
stirring and tending the honey
only sunrise awoke you from the sweet feast
I the queen bee enticed you
with the kiss of ruby lips
a perfume ambience held us
entwined, woven hearts bleed lovely
as the scarlet rose on dewy morning.

Tiger

You jump and pounce, At amazing stength,

And speed, You lurk in the shadows, of dark forests cloaked with green.

And you are soft, with an angry growl. My natures being, filled with wild, tigers.

Delicious Gold

Springtime’s first green is gold,

Her subtlest hue to hold,

Her morning song’s the flower;

But only so one hour.

Then colors by colors surrender,

So Eden lost her splendor.

So sunlight turns to moonlight,

Her gold will be gone by night.

Arty Party Hardy and clutches...video...

Fri, 10/21/2011 - 10:50PM by studioeah 0 Comments - 34 Views

EAH! proudly presents new evening clutches in a WEBCAM lowbudget selfmade video. Their names are 'Arty Party Hardy', 'Delightfully Tigerly', 'Golden Dutch Delicious' and 'My Little Eden Garden'. Happy funny little bags for a special festive occasion in the evening. The bags seem to be eatable, like delicious cheese sandwiches and sweet pastries. Ohh it's Golden Delicious... Enjoy! This fall winter collection 2011 is a growing evening bags collection. Every week a few new clutches are presented in a short video. Mostly an animated slideshow presentation from webcam pictures of bags with Eva Anna Hekking. This time in the spotlight the Dutch twin models Lois & River Hoeboer. Internationally known from the first edition of Holland's Next Topmodel. Thanks to an Apple webcam, a selfmade paper decor and a great DJ mix of Jaziah it became wonderfully a cheerful low budget film. Eva Anna Hekking believes that often the lowest budget and very limited possibilities can occur the most creative expressions. Times of crisis is often the most creative! The evening bags look have an arty character, because EAH! this time did not work with glue. Vintage buttons, lasered plastic shapes and Swarovski stones are glued with acrylic paint on the bags. This was because before she created a series of small acrylic paintings. Some of these EAH! arty mini paintings are included in this video. She found out that acryl paint is a good connection material to work with. In fact acryl is plastic. Also included are some EAH! fashion pieces, like dresses and jackets. Party and celebrate life. Create, have fun, keep smiling and DANCE! Models: twins Lois&River Hoeboer. Music by Jaziah www.jaziah.com. Styling, editing, design by studio EAH! Any many thanks to my fabulous WEBCAM! clutches soon available at www.eahshop.com

Admire the beautiful wise words of Paulo Coelho...

Wed, 10/05/2011 - 11:38AM by studioeah 0 Comments - 30 Views

Don't live every day as if it were your last. Live every day as if it were your first

Today don't beg, don't ask, just thank God in silence for all the blessings in your life.

What other people think of you is none of your business

To heal our wounds, we need courage to face them

True friends are those who are with us when the good things happen. They are pleased by our triumphs. False friends only appear at difficult times, with their sad, supportive faces, when, in fact, our suffering is serving to console them for their miserable lives

Don't give to anyone the power to put you down. Haters are losers pretending to be winners.

Fact : we are what we believe ourselves to be

Don’t expect to get anything back, don’t expect recognition for your efforts, don’t expect your genius to be discovered or your love to be understood. Act because you need to act.

People may forget what we said, people may forget what we did, but never forget how we made them feel

Live with no regrets and love with no apologies
Viva sem arrependimentos, e ame sem pedir desculpas

We are what we do, and not what we think we should do
Nós somos aquilo que fazemos, e não o que pensamos que deviamos fazer

I needed to live and to suffer a lot to understand that love is an act of faith

All haters are losers, even when they win

Don't allow your wounds to transform you into someone you are not

If you think adventure is dangerous, try routine. It is lethal.

Don’t predict or forecast. Have a goal in life and be open to the sign. I wish you a life be full of adventures (even if it includes some nightmares, it is worth the price. I paid it, and I don't regret)

You don't need to explain your dreams. They belong to you

May love fill your heart, compassion guide your mind, faith rule your soul

If everybody loves you, something is wrong. Find one enemy to keep you alert

Impatience is never a good adviser

Go further than you planned. Ask for the moon: you will be surprised how often you get it

Sometimes it’s what you don’t say that counts

Everyday God gives us a moment to change everything that makes us unhappy. Use it.

Stay mad, but behave like normal people. Run the risk of being different, but learn to do so without attracting attention (in ALEPH)

Don't forget: beautiful sunsets need cloudy skies...

Get as much as you can from any journey, because the journey is all you have

People who love in the expectation of being loved in return are wasting their time

Haters are confused admirers who can’t understand why everybody likes you

I’m not a body with a soul. I’m a soul that has a visible part called body

It took me years to understand this, but now I know: braveness is not the absence of fear but rather the strength to keep on going forward despite the fear.

Everyone believes that the main aim in life is to follow a plan. They accumulate experiences, memories, things, other people’s ideas, and it is more than they can possibly cope with. And that is why they forget their dreams

Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea about their sufferings.

Life means taking the responsibility to fulfill the tasks we need to face

You cannot avoid pain, but you can chose to overcome it

When in doubt, just take the next step and don't look back

Live with no regrets and love with no excuses

Kiss slowly, laugh insanely, live truly, and and forgive quickly

The way you see yourself will determine how people see you

Go for the impossible. I always tried to find my own limits. So far I did not find them, so my universe is in constant
expansion

My angel says: "start moving, so I can start blessing"

Haters are confused admirers who can't understand why everybody loves you

No one else is in charge of your happiness. You are.

Live fully, love deeply, let go with no bitterness

If you act like a victim, you will be treated as one

Make peace with your past so it won't destroy your present (Aleph)

If you're brave enough to say "good bye", life will reward you with a new "hello"

My wife: "we are getting old". My answer: "I was not planning to die young"

I confess: I am a Twitter ( @paulocoelho ) and a Facebook junkie.

eah! evening bag poem:

Ah Love, Love, … Love EASILY, Love, Love, Love, Love.

What is it with Love
That makes me
then breaks me?

When in love
Do I truly love?

Is it really love
Or do I think that I love?

Maybe I just love being in love
Or love the idea of being in love?

I spent my whole life chasing love.
In the end the one thing I truly love
Could just be the meir pursuit of love.

the throne of Beatrix

Wed, 09/14/2011 - 1:52PM by studioeah 0 Comments - 132 Views

Liked to put the throne back on the surface again, because since in ages I looked up close again to our dear Queen Beatrix yesterday at the National Ballet! A while ago I designed for my graduation in 2004 at the Design Academy Eindhoven a throne for our Queen. The throne has been exhibited with twenty-four other thrones on a national traveling exhibition. The throne itself has a minimalist form. A contrast with the laser-cut decorative wooden shapes. This was one of the four projects I graduated with. Together with an art bags project, frame lamps and an artistic photoshoot. Because of my label EAH! I am pigeonholed as an accessory designer only. But in fact I use to design basically everything. This project was the reason that I started working with laser-cut technology. I draw dessins with the computer program "Illustrator" based on the royal coat of arms. These were laser cut from wood. The throne is made of beech wood. My master teacher Anthon Beeke recommended to work with Idlaser. Since then I continued to work with the fantastic laser cut technology. Plexiglass handles, jewelry components all sketched up in the computer and then later also lasercut designed leather dresses. Just liked to share it. Should start making some thrones and lamps again...

opening Court Séjour Boutique

Mon, 09/12/2011 - 12:47PM by studioeah 0 Comments - 1,076 Views

It was a weekend full of openings and festive occasions. A real highlight was this popular opening. I enjoyed it a lot, cause I attended the pre-opening and at the official opening! The finest DJs played music, the known 'Absolute Shakers Boys' made delicious free cocktails. Very hip and young Amsterdam was there to be found. The boutique is located at the Baerlestraat nearby the P.C Hooftstraat in Amsterdam Oud Zuid. The brothers Jeff and Robin Sluijzer together with Roel Prins and Sven Milder managed to open the Court Séjour Boutique in one week. I know how very hardworking it is, as myself since 2008, had three EAH! pop up shops in Amsterdam. It takes tremendous energy for anything short-lived. But a very good promotion stunt and fits well in the spirit of today. The name says it all: this pop up concept has a "short stay": 3 months. Hopefully longer... A rough industrial cool environment done by Robin Sluijzer. You can find collections of Closed addition of Art, furniture and gadges. It feels a bit like concept store like we have seen in other hot cities around the world. Every Friday is cocktail drink night. Do not miss it! It is fun!

opening Sheila&Gideon boutique

Mon, 09/12/2011 - 1:11AM by studioeah 0 Comments - 253 Views

Came in later, but found the reopening of Sheila de Vries boutique surprisingly well done. The couture boutique of Sheila was already there for several years at the luxurious Cornelis Schuytstraat in Amsterdam Oud Zuid. The kind of Notting Hill area in Amsterdam. Most popular and wanted street for fashion boutiques right now. I have been growing up alongside the cute kind of village street and have seen many shops come and go. Suddenly also this store seemed to be closed down and we thought at first that she would leave the street. But luckily that was not true. It has been a tremendous good decision to change. It got a fresh, young and hip feel with the whole mixture of accessoires and clothing. The ready to wear collection features bright colors and lively prints with cool details and a very good fit. A candy store for women, but now also for men. Her son Gideon is a menswear designer. Like I was entering a cute boutique with a L.A touch with many colorful dressed blond lady and girl clients chatting about fashion. The famous DJ Sunny from the Supperclub was dressed in a pretty black dress of the new collection and and turned on some good music. How much fun Sheila goes with her time and made the big decision to stop tailoring couture pieces and to continue with a pret a porter line. Size clothing is only available for regular customers and ofcourse our dear Queen Beatrix. Sheila de Vries has been designing couture outfits for many years for our wonderful Queen Beatrix. How precious and sweet that she also provides her son today a great platform in this store for his men's line. Previously the store was called only Sheila de Vries, but today the boutique is called Sheila&Gideon. I found it very touching and dear. Shows how a special bond the two have together. I wish them both luck! And many thanks for the beautiful scarf in the goodie bag!

EAH! likes Zazi !

Thu, 09/08/2011 - 9:00AM by studioeah 0 Comments - 144 Views

Visited beginning this month the upcoming small music festival in Amsterdam Old West. Professional musicians perform in many different living rooms of people's homes around the Wilhelminastraat and Figurantenbar. This neighborhood changed since the last years into a new character. I've been told that renovated houses in this area have attracted a fresh new young audience who mix well with the residents who live there for decades. A pleasant living environment for hardworking young people with early careers, but certainly not an area for snobs or tourists. Most residents know each other and it feels like a small village in the middle of this city. Close to the Vondelpark and the city centre. Regular customers of the Figurantenbar even have their own nickname at the 'Club' night, been held every Tuesday. A neighborhood with people who mostly prefer to keep it real to the simple thing. For several years the festival home developed itself into a very wanted end of summer event. People who love music and theater love it. This year I visited it for the first time. It's been a very popular event with early sold out tickets. On the street was a large main stage was built, where various performances were hold with an ordinary barbecue. This two-day event is mainly about the shows you need to buy the ticket for. The small performances in the living rooms feel like a theatre peepshow. As audience this gives a more real, personal and perhaps a bit of an old-fashioned experience. A mini festival in which artists can promote themselves. And so I also finally discovered Zazi. This last show had three beautiful Dutch girls in cute vintage dresses. I love when girls wear vintage dresses and have long hair. They said ever to have begun singing at house parties of their mom's. Zazí's repertoire consists of songs from all over the world in many different languages, which are often performed in close harmony. They sing chansons in French, German, English, Dutch, Russian, including a humorous theatre touch. At first glance they look like good, pretty fussy girls, but once they start you will discover how witty, clever, fun, seriously talented and good they are. I enjoyed it very much.

The girls were first brought together in Paris by a mutual acquaintance in early spring of 2006. The chemistry was immediately obvious and over the course of many drinks in not nearly as many hours, the first Zazí arrangement was brought to life on the steps of the Sacre Coeur. The normal complications of life kept them apart until September of 2007, when the girls were brought together again.
Upon their reunion, the girls began to regularly play music together. Though having a love of many genres of music, the girls decided that their instruments: cello, piano and accordion, would be a perfect combination for the French chanson. They entered into the Concours de la Chanson 2009 and took home first prize!

After their victory they decided to continue their music and began composing songs of their own and having fun with any piece that struck a chord. They started playing throughout the theatres of Amsterdam and all over the Netherlands, including several shows for the Queen of the Netherlands! Their combination of instruments (cello, piano and accordion) seemed appropriate for them to implement the French chanson. They wrote under the name "La Gaîté" (the joy) for the Concours de la Chanson Alliance Française in 2009 and won the first prize. The jury (eg Liesbeth List, Tonny Eyk, and the famous French singer Yves Duteil) described the trio as "fresh, fun, humorous and also great musicians."

EAH! @ night and evening accessories.

Wed, 09/07/2011 - 6:47PM by studioeah 0 Comments - 481 Views

Love to design evening accessories like bags and necklaces. Wearable for a special night out or any other special occasion. Festive unique designs that make an outfit unique and original. Prefer to use my own lifestyle as my brand identity for EAH! Do not commit myself to so-called target groups. Create what I would like to wear only. My lifestyle is certainly not just about luxury, but to enjoy it with dear friends and family. Where or how does not really matter. Below a serie of photograph collages. A fun night out with good friends and good food at the new prestigious restaurant 'Bridges' at the exclusive luxury hotel 'the Grant' in Amsterdam. A number of charming pictures of the 'White Butterflies' necklace and the 'Sparkling Nude' evening bag together with the restaurant's ambiance delivered an atmospheric result. Used materials for the accessories are vintage buttons, crystals, Swarovski, lasercut plexiglass and vintage beads. EAH! hopes to inspire everyone to enjoy life and every moment. Life is a party, but you have to hang the garlands by yourself. Start doing things you love and do it often. All emotions are beautiful. When you eat, appreciate every last bite. Getting lost will help you find yourself. We are united in our differences. Life is short. Live your dream and wear your passion. Wear an EAH! and celebrate life! x x x EAH!

Thank you dear Amy.

Wed, 07/27/2011 - 7:46PM by studioeah 0 Comments - 225 Views

Very sad this incredibly talented young woman left us. So terrible that we are not getting more of her new music and beautiful voice we have enjoyed so much. But so grateful for everything we have received. I find it annoying some make jokes about her drug and alcohol problem or say that it might be expected. Often so disrespectful described by the tabloids. Whether it was the LOVE, drugs or alcohol, we'll never know and we do not need to know. You can not judge someone without really knowing or knowing what's going on with someone. The agony of an addict is very heavy, not for fun. Such a waste of a great talent. Thank you for the wonderful music and your style. Thank you dear Amy for inspiring us all. Below images of EAH! show in 2008 at AIFW with Amy Winehouse and Birgitte Bardot inspired make up and hair.
